First of all, congrats to Keith Aucoin, the first AHL Player of the Week for this season. Seeing as how the Bears had to wait until well into 2008 for Andrew Gordon to be recognized last season, I would say this is a nice indication of just where the Bears may go with themselves this year.

Now, in the last half year, we have Spokane breaking the Memorial Cup and the Stanley Cup being displayed upside down. I can only hope whatever happens to the Calder or the Kelly cups in this trifecta is just as hilarious… and fixable.

We’ve also head that at least part of OFB is going to be on tap in Giant Center for this Saturday Because of that, I’m putting out a call to all Bears fans to be even more loud and enthusiastic than normal. Show ‘em we can Motivate the Maroon as well as they can Rock the Red.

If we’re going to be the new media darlings for the depth of the organization, let’s brush the mullets and shine the belt buckles, Central PA. It’s almost puck drop in Hershey.
