Recently, a woman was told it was illegal to breastfeed her baby inside a Target. While this is false, obviously, it’s indicative of the struggles many breastfeeding women face on a daily basis. Grassroots groups such as First Right have sprung up to support mothers who want to feed in public, and in 1999 a bill was signed into law by President Clinton that protects a woman’s right to breastfeed on federal property.
Of course, because of the way my brain works, (and because one of my hockey friends is a few months away from popping out a little terror of her own,) I immediately became interested in the experience of women breastfeeding at hockey games.
Are there any moms out there who have had any experiences (good or bad) with this?
